We first chose a disused Victorian railway station for a theme involving travel. Steampunk had recently piqued my interest and I wanted to show that the quirkiness of this genre would work well with our theme and venue.
We pared down the masculine and industrial elements commonly seen in Steampunk neo-Victorian designs and emphasised the femininity and elegance of Victorian fashion, choosing dusky pink and peach floral tones to both soften and coordinate with the copper and brass, and a rich plum accent to add a bit of luxury.
This shoot featured in issue #46 of Your Hampshire & Dorset Wedding magazine, and in the Bespoke Bride and Wedding Sparrow blogs.
